i suggest you weigh up the pros and cons first, just joined bt this week after a five yr nightmare with aol, underlying costs paying for calls to rectify there software (crashing/constantly trying to connect to the net on its own – never did resolve it). with bt, had some teething probs setting up. 0800 No, nice indian chap out in india somewhere remote connection, resolved my driver problems with my wirless adapter even though it wasnt bt software/hardware set up my wirless connection stripped aol out of my system as well as other stuff while i sat and watched on my monitor, for that sort of service i think its worth that bit more. whos a happy chappy then
You won’t lose your account, but you will save yourself a shed load of cash! I opted for the free sky broadband and I could not be happier! I f you are going for sky give me a email if you want ‘recommended a friend and both get a free sky+ box’!!! I sound like a blikin advert for sky… sorry
if it’s the email address BT gave you, it goes when you change provider.
But since it’s a Yahoo email address and not BT, you might be safe. i would phone BT‘s customer support and ask them.would hate to loose an account with such a high level!
you wont lose it
the email address itself is free
The only way you could possibly lose the account is if it is in some way tied to the internet provider. For example if BT and Yahoo offer the internet service together. If you signed up for Yahoo separately from your internet service then it does not matter what service you have.
