I use Sky and have no complaints. And it’s only £10 per month for unlimited use.
Give your answer to this question below!
sky
Do you live in a cabled area?
If so consider Virgin Media (formerly Ntl).
Otherwise, BT are probably the best for adsl.
i’m with BT total broadband option 3 with the hub phone & wireless package.i couldn’t be happier.i’m only 2 miles from the exchange & on 5mbs it’s brilliant & the tech support is sound.I strongly recommend BT.
SKY Broadband is OK until you need to contact tech. support.
I have spent £75 on the phone to them, where 80% of the time, I get an indian person calling me “Mr. Edvad”. I explain its “Edwards”, and I get “sorree Mr. Edvad”.
in the end i got fedup and sent a letter threatening them with ofcom and otelo, to get a prompt response giving me £20 compensation. Not much, but pays quarter of a phone bill.
Also, when Mr India was bein a cun|- with me, i asked to be put through to cancellations, asked to cancel my TV, phone and internet, and they got BT out the day after and bumped me up to the £10 a month internet for £5.
also, the £10 is actually upto 16meg.
if your line can support broadband, and it is new, then go for it.
if its old, or isn’t very good at broadband, then don’t bother with sky.
bt is the best their tech help desk is brilliant and if u really dont want to talk to someone in india for tech help if u ask they will put u through to one in uk home hub router was on watchdog as it was the most secure wireless connection maybe a bit more expensive but u pay for what u get
I have used AOL without any problems for about 3 years (£9.99 per month) On the rare occasion I have had to contact them I was put through to a call centre within 10 miles of my home (Glasgow) which cost only the price of a local call.
Beware of some ISPs who charge £1 per minute for their helpline and keep you hanging on for 30 mins +
Don’t get Talktalk they are really crap, BT or NTL are the best.
I use B.T., and if any problem should occur, they are great. You only get what you pay for.I live in Shepperton, W. London. Been with Them approx 8 years.
Get AOL Silver as there it offers unlimited usage and downloads. Also you get a free wireless router. It’s £14.99 a month. May I also say that the ‘free’ broadband packages from Orange, Sky and TalkTalk are rip offs as you are paying for their line rental too, and there are many restrictions. Check out MSN for an article about this.
for the best service and reliablity then bt total broadband is the best, this is avalible anywhere in the u.k and packages start at £9-99,however the unlimited downloads package(option 3)is £22-99
for free broadband then talk talk is suppose to be quite good, you have to sign up for a talk plan however this works out at £20 per month with free broadband thrown in
the new sky packages look quite interesting, packages start from free to £10 per month, with the £10 package giving you a 8mbit connection speed and unlimited downloads
out of the three bt total broadband is the best as you pay for what you get,and with this you get a bt home hub wireless router, hub phone and a online security package
and as your only a mile from the local telephone exchange there a good chance you will get at least 6mbits connection spped
good luck!
