I want to play online with an XBox 360 with an ethernet connection using my broadband?
Question by juney: I want to play online with an XBox 360 with an ethernet connection using my broadband?
Can I do this and not have to buy the special adapter. Will I then be connected wirelessly using my wireless broadband?
Thank you Scott. I think I have got that. So if I want to play online it is fine connecting direct and can play online. But if want to play wirelessly have to buy adapter. Also is the cable wire long (6 metres) to enable connection
Thank you very much the lose you have been very helpful

if you want a wireless connection then yes you do need an adaptor. You can have a wired connection by using your ethernet cable from your modem or router directly in the back of your xbox.
you need this for a wireless connection

if you want to connect ur 360 wirelessly then you have to buy the adapter, it costs around £40.
on the other hand if you want to do it cheaper then i would advise you to buy a ethernet crossover cable and connect it up to ur 360 and router/modem. however this obviously isnt wireless.
hope i helped! >.>
just to add to the other bit of your Q im not sure how long the cable is but its definitely at least 6 metres because i used to have it wired and my xbox is upstairs and the cable used to run downstairs to my computer.
