no, i had the same problem with bt when i left, you will lose your e mails unless you pay a small monthly charge for them, ohh and the hassle u get when u leave makes u wonder why did i leave!!

The way it usually works, is this: they close your account as soon as you cancel service with them. I always advise people to open a new account, then transfer all information from the old one to the new one. Inform all of your contacts of the new E-mail address, and you will not have any problems or interruptions of E-mails when you do cancel your old Internet service provider.
Thats actually not true. I left BT over a year ago and I still have a BT email address, all be it with reduced storage space. Best bet is to ask the provider.
