I may like to change to a cheaper broadband supplier – can I keep my current email addresses? What about the router? Is it easy to make the change?

You cant keep your current email addy that was provided by the ISP you had if thats what you are asking. If you used a web based e mail server like yahoo or g mail, you wont lose them. Just log on to them as you always have. You shouldnt have to do anything more than turn the router off and reboot when the new modem is connected.

I have my main email at Yahoo so I can go anywhere – Or configure it so you can get it sent directly to Outlook Express – Mine is for any mail to my ISP -
If your current email address is with your broadband supplier, ie you@isp-name.com (you get what I mean) then if you leave them, you lose the email address. That is one advantage of the many webmail services available…
The E Mail data is in your computer so you retain the E Addy normally .. . Only exception I know is with Blueyonder or similar Virgin Media addy’s. If you leave them you lose that addy , but Yahoo, Hotmail etc are not affected . I changed to Sky broadband, They posted me a router which I plugged in and installed myself without any problems ..
