Your best bet is to contact BT. They may be able to resolve the issue with your connection with you having to move.
Worst case scenario is that you will have to pay for the rest of the 12month contract.
What do you think? Answer below!
You ahve a faulty phone line. Do your own checks first; plug your broadband modem into the test socket inside master socket and see if the fault continues. If it does, report a fault to BT – note that you should report a voice fault, not a broadband fault. Say that your line is noisy, and it’s intermittent, depending on the weather. They will give you blather about if it’s your equipment at fault, you’ll have to pay – just say yes. When the engineer comes, make sure you talk to him and describe the problems, make him a cup of tea, you’ll be amazed how helpful the engineers are (the helpdesk is rubbish of course).
Basically, you have to get your phone line sorted out because otherwise the fault will always be with you no matter who your supplier is.
they probably told you that you speed would be UP to 9mb. it depends how far you live from your suppler and how many joints in you line from the socket coming into you house and your computer, every joint/extension brings down the speed, I’m sure that bt will come out and test you line rather than lose you.
I’m not sticking up for BT I’m with Talk Talk the same will happen with any suppler you go to.
will cost you the rest of the 12 months contract. You can cancel it, but they will expect you to pay. Have you asked them to investigate your problem, have you complained about it yet? If not, then I suggest you start by doing that.
