How do I remove the Broadband from a previous Owner?
Question by jbjt05: How do I remove the Broadband from a previous Owner?
I just moved into a new flat and the broadband connection from the previous tenant in the flat is still active, so i cannot get my own broadband in the flat. I cannot get hold of the previous tenant. Is there anyway I can remove the this connection?

Britton? Sounds like they’re being a little beaurocratic. If it’s cable, just grab a modem and plug in until he stops paying for it and they cut it off. Otherwise you’ll need to walk in to the provider’s offices and keep bumping up through suipervisors until you get your answer.

you need to ring up a company called bt wholesale and they will remove the marker for you
Assuming you are in the UK, I think you should talk to BT. They are the one who actually control most Broadband connections at the exchange. Since they provide you with a phone line, they should also allow you the possibility of your own broadband connection.
can’t you just use this connection until it’s cut off?
or contact the landlord
