How can I stop the TV interferring with my broadband connection?
Question by SANDRA M: How can I stop the TV interferring with my broadband connection?
Ever since we have had a new Samsung TV with in-built freeview I have not been able to use the internet whilst the TV is on. As soon as I turn the TV off then I can connect to the internet (whether wireless/modem or broadband/dial-up). As soon as i turn the TV back on then I loose my internet connection. Does anyone know what I can do to stop the TV interferring with the internet connection?
but the TV isn’t connected to the phone line!!

I recommend that you run the Phone wire first to your computer. You will see a phone jack marked on the back that is market with LINE or a picture of the LINE JACK.
Then bring a wire from the computer, from the jack marked PHONE or with a picture of a PHONE. Plug that into the TV.
Then when your computer is ON LINE, the TV can’t use the phone.

I am not sure whether you have cable or dial up.
Some times the phone line comes in with the cable line, in that case speak to those that installed it.
If that is not the case, then check out any web sites that deal with samsung TV interfering with modem connection.
Hope this helps.
Good Luck.
