I live on an island and the only option I have to get broadband is the 3 mobile broadband but the network coverage is very weak where I live. Can I install an aerial or something to improve the signal. Thanks for your help, Cathal

Yes.
Hopefully you have a USB device. If you do, get a usb extension cord, and mount your dongle (I love that word) at the focus point of any aluminum parabola. I made mine out of foil and a medium sized plastic mixing bowl, but if you have an aluminum mixing bowl, you are all done.
You need to kind of do the point and see thing to figure out how to aim the thing, Mine is hanging from the curtain rod on the window, but the glass is meaningless. You just need to aim it at the tower, walls and windows be darned.
