I am going to hoepfully buy a Laptop, and would like to have wireless internet. Though, we have a PC in our house already and have Virgin Media Broadband connected to it. If I buy a Belkin Wireless Router will it be compatible with the Virgin Media, and are Wireless Routers easy to set up? Because I knwo less than nothing about Computers! Please help and advise!

Yes. I have the same Virgin broadband + Belkin router works good. That is after i fixed some options if its going slow just go to my computer and in the adess bar type this adress 192.168.2.1 . This is the adress for your router’s options after you are there look under wireless choose Channel and SSID and enable everything like extended range and turbo mode that is what fixed mine. If it asks for a password its probably the default just hit submit. Good Luck!

Just make sure it’s for either “Cable” or “ASDL”.
Linksys or Netgear are the better ones for the home market Belkin are cheap and nasty and their routers tend to need restarted everysecond day
I bought my first laptop about 5 months ago. Also have a desktop. The wireless router is probably compatible with any broadband service but it would be wise to check with your sales person first. Or do a little research online.
I’m pretty computer savvy but had someone set up my router for me. This is a service that is most likely provided by where you purchase your laptop likelyter. I had to replace my router about a month ago. I was not about to pay again so I called the customer service for the router company and they walked me through the process. Check to be sure your router as a similar service. I would advise not trying to do it without some help.
A wireless router should work with Virgin, not completely sure about how Virgin broadband works and the terms and conditions but if AOL allows me to do the same then I would have thought you would be fine.
Generally there will be a step by step guide, either on screen or in the instructions and as for plugging the hardware in that will be a couple of cables at most!
