Can you upgrade to broadband by installing a dial up aol disc on a new laptop? Is there such a way of doing it?

I already have aol broadband but no disc (can’t find it). I do however, have a dial up disc that I can install and apparently you can choose to upgrade to broadband and log in with your original passwords this way. Is this correct? Thanks in advance.

You already have a Broadband Account with AOL, so just get in touch with them by phone, go to customer services and they will send the necessary disk that you need to set your computer up.. I would not use your dial up disk, different settings for a dial up account…Good Luck…. The dial-up disk might work but again get in touch with AOL for guidence

I had the disc but it wouldn’t load, so I rang them up, and they did it all for me over the phone. They were very helpful and guided me through the process, no need for the disc. Brilliant..give them a ring.
As you already have an AOL broadband account then all you should need to do is connect your laptop to the system and log in with your existing account details.
if you are using a router just use ie to go to the aol site and download the aol software, if not using a router you can use the aol disc that you got from a shop to install the software, just run the disc and select existing member and use your aol details to log in and install the software. it works fine as i have done it many times before i got the router
