Can i set up a laptop to a wireless router, without the router being attached to a computer?
Question by Kris: Can i set up a laptop to a wireless router, without the router being attached to a computer?
My grandfather is getting an Acer Aspire 5920 Laptop, i was wondering whether i would be able to set it up so it could connect to a wireless router, “WIRELESS-G ROUTER WGR614″ so he would be able to surf the internet without the router needing to be attached to the laptop as mine is at my house.
Simply; Is it possible to connect to the internet without the router being attached to the laptop?

Go to the start menu – Connect to a Network and click the network you want to connect to (then if it’s security enabled you’ll need to enter the WPA/WEP code) then off you go.
