I’m tied to a contract with BT for another 11 months. I’m getting Sky TV and their current offer is free broadband, obviously I want to take up this offer. Can you help?

it means you need to cancel the bt contract and need to pay them the rest of the amount.

There is no legal bar on having two internet providers. You must, however, remember that you have two contracts and abide by the conditions of both in regard to making payments. And before signing up to anyone, read the small print and make sure that you understand ALL the terms – it is unusual if anyone gives anything away totally free.
