commingting on the last comment you were trying to connect a modem router to a already existing modem you only need a router not a modem router thats why it would keep disconecting becasue your to modems were conflicting.

I thought that I would give Belkin another chance, after having purchased their equipment before and been let down, by the simple lack of quality and the fact that they simply don’t tend to work very well. I guess I was blinded by the list of ‘can do’s this router was apparently capable of. However, setup, although straight forward and quick, failed very quickly. When the router was incapable of maintaining a stable, consistant connection to the BT Modem. I completed all the usual suspects; upgraded the firmware on the BT Modem, on the Router and also on the rather ridiculous amount of software that Belkin include on the installer – which by the way, you need to run on EVERY computer you want the router to connect to. After several periods of frustration, swearing at it and then simply realising, that once again, Belkin just can’t produce a decent router – ever, period! I gave up, put my trusty Linksys back to work and boxed up the Belkin ready to be returned for a refund. Stick to someone like Linksys. Which is my router of choice. Not a problem connected to the BT Modem or the need for ridiculous bloated software. By the way, I had this problem with the belkin on both on a Mac and on the PC and Laptop I have – none of them could get the router to work or connect consistently. Stay away from this!
